If you run a business in Hounslow and want your team using AI properly, the quickest route is a two-hour, hands-on session at your own office, unit or hotel, working on three real jobs from your week. I'm Neil, I'm based in Isleworth, and the London Borough of Hounslow is my home patch, so I can usually be with you in person the same week you book.

Short answer: the AI Kick-start Session is £395 fixed price for up to 15 people. I come to you anywhere in Hounslow, Isleworth, Feltham, Heston, Cranford, Brentford, Chiswick or out along Bath Road towards Heathrow, at no extra cost. We set up the AI you already pay for (Copilot, Gemini or ChatGPT), agree safe-use rules, and practise on your own tasks. You keep 20 tailored prompts, a one-page staff AI policy and 2 weeks of email support. No contract.

This page is written for the kinds of businesses that actually make up this borough: freight and logistics firms working around the airport, aviation suppliers, travel businesses, hotels and their sales teams, shops and food businesses on Hounslow High Street, trades in Feltham and Heston, and the smaller offices that cluster along the Great West Road. If that sounds like you, read on, or just book the Kick-start and we'll talk through the detail on the planning call.

Why book AI training with someone local to Hounslow?

Because the hardest part of AI isn't the software, it's getting a busy team to change one habit. That goes much better when someone is physically in the room, looking over shoulders, fixing the login that won't work and showing the sceptic in the corner a result on their own job. I've written more about why in in-person AI training for business teams in West London.

Being based in Isleworth makes that practical rather than a nice idea. Hounslow town centre, Brentford and Osterley are a short hop. Feltham, Hanworth, Bedfont and Hatton Cross are an easy drive. Heston and Cranford are just up the road. So there's no travel surcharge, no "next available slot in six weeks", and if something comes up after the session I can pop back rather than trying to solve it over a crackly video call.

It also means I know how the borough works. Plenty of teams here start at 6am because the airport does. Plenty of offices are a mix of people who live in the borough and people who drive in along the A4 or the M4. Plenty of teams work across more than one language. A session that ignores all that and runs through a generic slide deck is a waste of your two hours.

What kinds of Hounslow businesses is this for?

The borough has a distinctive business mix, and it shapes where AI helps first. Hounslow Council's own sector research picks out transport and logistics as a defining sector, with much of it tied to air transport at Heathrow, alongside media and digital work (mostly around Chiswick and Brentford) and a large professional and business services base. Here's how that plays out in practice.

The Heathrow corridor: logistics, freight and aviation suppliers

Heathrow itself sits just over the border in Hillingdon, but a huge amount of the work that keeps it running is done from Hounslow: freight forwarders, couriers, ground handling and aviation service firms around Hatton Cross, Feltham and Bedfont Lakes, plus the many smaller suppliers that serve them. These businesses run on email and paperwork. Shipment updates, delay notices, quote requests, shift handovers, supplier queries, health and safety procedures and tender responses all land on the same handful of people. AI is very good at the first draft of almost all of it, as long as a human checks the facts and figures.

Bath Road hotels and hospitality

The Bath Road between Cranford and the airport is lined with Heathrow hotels, and their back offices have the same pressures as any small business: review replies, guest messages in several languages, group and event proposals, staff rotas and training notes for a team with high turnover. AI won't run the front desk, but it can take a lot of the writing off the duty manager.

Hounslow High Street, Feltham and Heston: shops, food and trades

Independent retailers, takeaways, salons, driving schools, builders, electricians and cleaning firms tend to have one owner doing everything. Here the wins are about getting evenings back: quotes written from site notes, social posts planned a month ahead, polite payment reminders and answers to the same five customer questions. If that's you, using AI for quotes and estimating is a good taste of what we'd cover.

Great West Road and Brentford offices

The stretch of the A4 Great West Road known as the Golden Mile is best known for its big corporate offices, but around them sit plenty of smaller agencies, consultancies, recruiters, accountants and facilities firms. For those teams it's usually about meetings, proposals and client reporting. The bigger media and office scene in Chiswick and central Brentford has its own page; this one is for the Hounslow side of the borough and the businesses that serve it.

What would we actually work on in your session?

Before the session we have a 15-minute call and pick three real tasks from your business. These are typical choices for businesses in this part of West London:

Type of businessTypical three tasks we'd pickWhat to keep a human on
Freight forwarder or courier near HeathrowCustomer delay and status emails; summarising long shipment email chains; turning a rate request into a clear written quoteCustoms and compliance details, rates and any legal wording
Aviation or airport supplierFirst drafts of tender and bid answers; rewriting procedures into plain checklists; shift handover notesSafety-critical content, certifications and anything a regulator will read
Hotel or hospitality team on Bath RoadReplies to online reviews; guest messages translated and checked; group and event proposalsPrices, availability, refunds and complaints with legal risk
Travel agent or travel businessItinerary write-ups from booking notes; follow-ups on enquiries; newslettersFares, visa and entry requirements, booking terms
High Street shop, food business or salonSocial posts for the month; answers to common customer questions; product or menu descriptionsAllergen information, offers and prices
Trades and services in Feltham, Heston or CranfordQuotes from site notes; payment reminders; job write-ups for customersFigures, measurements and anything contractual
Small office on the Great West RoadMeeting notes and actions; proposals; summarising client callsClient confidential data and final advice

For logistics and operations teams in particular, the email-heavy jobs are where the first hours come back. Two guides worth a look are using AI to save time on admin tasks and using AI to summarise client calls.

AI Kick-start Session: £395

How quickly can you get to us?

Usually very quickly. Because I'm in Isleworth rather than travelling in from somewhere else, a session in the borough can often happen the same week, subject to my diary. You buy the Kick-start online, pick a date, and we book the 15-minute planning call for a day or two before.

A few things that help with timing around here:

If you'd rather not travel or host at all, online works too, at the same £395, anywhere in the UK.

Which AI tools do you train Hounslow teams on?

The ones you're already paying for. Most small businesses in the borough run on either Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Teams) or Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs), and both now include AI. Microsoft 365 business plans include Copilot Chat, and Google Workspace business plans include Gemini. Some teams have ChatGPT accounts too, sometimes officially and sometimes not.

Part of the session is a quick audit: who has what, whether people are signed in with work accounts rather than personal ones, and whether anything needs switching on or off. If you haven't picked a tool yet, which AI is best for a small business explains how I'd choose, and we'll settle it on the planning call.

Is it safe to use AI with customer and shipment data?

It can be, with the right tools and rules. A lot of Hounslow businesses handle exactly the kind of data you need to be careful with: passenger and guest names, addresses, shipment contents, staff records. UK GDPR still applies the moment you paste personal data into an AI tool, and free personal accounts are the wrong place for it.

That's why every Kick-start includes safe-use rules and a one-page staff AI policy, written for your business. We cover what must never go in, which tools are approved, and the habit that matters most: a human checks everything before it's sent. For more background, read AI and GDPR for small businesses.

A note for airport-adjacent firms: if your customers are airlines, handling agents or larger logistics companies, they may ask how you use AI. Having a simple written policy and a client statement ready makes that conversation easy rather than awkward.

Is there local business support in Hounslow I should know about?

Yes, and it's worth using alongside any training. Hounslow Council runs business support and advice for local firms, and its Advance for Growth competition, run with West London Chambers of Commerce and JCDecaux, has offered small Hounslow businesses advertising, mentoring and Chamber membership. West London Chambers of Commerce and West London Business both cover the borough for networking and events.

None of these is a substitute for getting your own team hands-on with the tools, but they're good places to meet other local owners who are working through the same questions.

What happens after the Kick-start?

For most teams, the Kick-start is enough to get going. You leave with three tasks that work, 20 prompts written around your business, a policy people understand and two weeks of email support while the habits settle. I'd suggest picking one person as your AI champion who collects the prompts that work and shares them.

Some businesses want a bit more: help rolling AI into more of the team, connecting tools together, or someone on call for the questions that come up. Ongoing support starts from £350 a month and is set out on the packages page. There's no pressure to take it. If you want to know what good follow-through looks like on your own, read AI training for your team: what actually works and using AI to onboard and train new staff, which matters a lot in high-turnover hotel and warehouse teams.

Need the paperwork as well? AI Policy Pack: £295

Four documents tailored to your business: an AI Policy, a Staff AI Acceptable Use Agreement, a one-page Staff AI Guide of dos and don'ts, and a Client AI Statement explaining how you use AI, for your website or terms. You fill in a short online questionnaire after buying, and the documents arrive in Word within 5 working days, with one round of changes included. Useful if your clients or insurers are asking. You can see a free starting point in our small business AI policy example.

Do I need an AI consultant, or just training?

For most small businesses in Hounslow, training comes first. A consultant who writes you a strategy document won't help if nobody on the team is confident opening Copilot. Once people are using it day to day, it becomes much clearer whether you need anything bigger, such as automation between systems. What an AI consultant does for a small business explains the difference, and finding AI help near you covers what to look for in anyone local.

Frequently asked questions

How much does AI training in Hounslow cost?

The AI Kick-start Session is £395, fixed price, for up to 15 people. Coming to your premises anywhere in the London Borough of Hounslow costs nothing extra. There is no contract and no subscription.

What is included in the £395 Kick-start?

A 15-minute call beforehand to pick three real tasks from your business, then a 2-hour hands-on session where we check and set up the AI tools you already pay for, agree safe-use rules and practise on your own tasks. You keep a starter prompt library of 20 prompts tailored to your business, a one-page AI safe-use policy for staff, and 2 weeks of email support afterwards.

Do you come to us in person, or is it online?

Either. I am based in Isleworth, so in person anywhere in Hounslow, Isleworth, Feltham, Heston, Cranford, Brentford, Chiswick and the Heathrow side of the borough is the norm, at no extra cost. Online sessions are available anywhere in the UK for the same price.

How quickly can we book a session?

You buy online and then pick a date. Because I am local, a session in the borough can often happen within the same week, depending on availability. Early starts and late sessions can be arranged for shift-based teams near Heathrow.

Is there a contract or ongoing commitment?

No. The Kick-start is a one-off, fixed-price session. If you want ongoing help afterwards, monthly support is available, but nothing is assumed and nothing renews automatically.

Which AI tools does the training cover?

The tools you already pay for: Microsoft Copilot (including Copilot Chat in Microsoft 365), Google Gemini in Google Workspace, or ChatGPT. If you have not chosen one yet, we work out which suits the way your business already runs.

Can you train mixed teams, such as office and warehouse or front desk staff?

Yes. Up to 15 people can join, and the three tasks we pick can come from different parts of the business, for example a customer update email from the office, a shift handover note from operations and a review reply from the front desk.

Do you also write AI policies for Hounslow businesses?

Yes. The AI Policy Pack is £295 fixed price: an AI Policy, a Staff AI Acceptable Use Agreement, a one-page Staff AI Guide and a Client AI Statement, tailored to your business from a short online questionnaire and delivered in Word within 5 working days, with one round of changes.
